For our R&D ENT Navigation team we are looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer!
ENT Navigation is a new department that is currently being established to drive forth Brainlab’s ambitions to establish new Navigation and Tracking Concepts based on innovative optical and magnetic tracking technologies.
The main responsibility of the position lies in the development of image-guided surgery applications that will be used by our worldwide customer base to conduct safe ENT surgeries. As an integral part of the R&D team you will be involved in the entire development process, from idea generations until release of the product. As such, you will face both frontend and backend software development tasks, and will work closely together with other R&D software departments.
After completion of the first implementation phase, we plan to expand the technology into other surgical disciplines and clinical fields such as cranial navigation, ENT endoscopy, robotic surgery and Mixed Reality.
As a full stack software engineer in our R&D ENT Navigation team you will:
- Be involved in the development process from the very first idea until the final launch of the product.
- Be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software components and software applications in C++, Java Script and HTML5 (React)
- Work closely together with our software engineering specialists from other R&D teams in order to design, specify and create a flexible, efficient and sustainable software architecture.
- have the possibility to work on different parts of our application – from user interface over 3D rendering to specialized algorithms solving typically 3D geometric problems and even further on software architecture design.
- Release subsystems and modules according to medical standards for European and US market.
- Provide guidance to the more junior team members.
You will be part of a highly motivated, dynamic team and have the opportunity to push the boundaries of magnetic and optical surgical navigation.
Qualifikationen
- You have an education in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline.
- Min. 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Expert command of C++.
- Preferably, you are also confident with C#, JavaScript and HTML5 or other toolkits like JavaScript React.
- Experience in the fields of Computer Vision, medical imaging, DICOM, 2/3-D visualization and network communication.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
