COMBINED SOLUTION STREAMLINES WORKFLOW AND CLINICAL EFFICIENCY

Brainlab announced successful patient treatments on a fully integrated radiation oncology solution that combines the imaging power of ExacTrac X-Ray patient positioning with the delivery precision of the Elekta Versa HD™. The seamless workflow of the two systems is in routine clinical use at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital in Munich, which is ranked among the top five medical institutions in Europe. The hospital has now treated 12 patients with a range of indications and has plans to expand their ExacTrac/Versa HD program. Used to perform frameless stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) procedures, the integrated ExacTrac/Versa HD solution provides patients with improved positioning and treatment accuracy. Facilities looking to maximize resources and deliver advanced therapies across several different LINACs can expand the reach of SRS and SBRT by integrating Elekta Versa HD and ExacTrac.
