1. How do I sign up for Brainlab Cloud Services?

Sign up here for a free Brainlab Cloud Services software subscription and complete the form to create your Brainlab ID (user name).

Once registered, an activation email is sent from “Quentry Notification” to the email address provided in the form. The activation link is valid for 24 hours. If you can’t find the email, please check your junk mail folder.

During the activation step, fill in the additional information to complete your registration and login to your new Brainlab Cloud Services account.

2. Is Brainlab Cloud Services free to use?

Yes, Brainlab Cloud Services is free for use for individuals. The free subscription can be upgraded with optional (paid) features including storage, application licenses, and PACS integration.

3. I forgot my password, what do I do?

You can easily reset your password on the Reset Password page.

4. Which data types can be transferred via Brainlab Cloud Services?

Brainlab Cloud Services image sharing allows you to transfer the following file types: DICOM, DOC, TXT, PDF, JPG, PNG, BMP, CSV, xBrain, XML, XLS or PPT.

5. Can I de-identify the data before uploading?

Using Brainlab Cloud Services's web-based or desktop uploader tools, users can de-identify DICOM image datasets before uploading.
Images are then de-identified (Protected Health Information is removed) in accordance with the DICOM standard during the upload process.

6. Which security features does Brainlab Cloud Services have?

Brainlab Cloud Services software employs various security features as well as the organizational polices to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information, as well as all Protected Health Information (PHI) of your patients.

Brainlab Cloud Services received a Grade A rating from Intel® McAfee security assessment, is HIPAA compliant and employs SSL encryption.

7. Is it possible to configure my PACS in Brainlab Cloud Services?

Brainlab Cloud Services can be integrated virtually with any PACS system.

For individual users, the Quentry Desktop application is available for download from the Applications tab on the Quentry left menu, and will allow a quick and simple PACS configuration, per workstation.

For groups and organizations, Quentry Gateway is recommended for automatic image routing directly from your PACS or any other imaging modality to Brainlab Cloud Services. Received images can be automatically delivered to a Brainlab Cloud Services user or CareTeam.

For any PACS integration, IT administration support is required.

9. How long can I store patient data on Brainlab Cloud Services?

Data storage on Brainlab Cloud Services is not time-limited. This means that data can remain stored on an account as long as the account is active.
Based on the subscription, online storage is subject to limitations on the amount (in GB) of data which is permitted to be stored.

Since Brainlab Cloud Services does not provide long-term archiving at this time, customers are responsible for maintaining an offline copy of their data.

10. Who can use Brainlab Cloud Services?

Brainlab Cloud Services is a clinical network for medical professionals and supporting personnel. Patient access is currently not supported.
